How does the theory test work?
There are two parts to the UK driver theory test, the multiple choice test, and an interactive hazard perception test.
Part 1: Multiple choice
This part of the test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions about the highway code and the theory of driving. You will need to answer a minimum of 43 of these questions correctly to pass.
Part 2: Hazard perception test
Over a series of videos there will be a total of 75 hazards. You will need to correctly identify a minimum of 44 correctly by clicking on them at the appropriate time.
Once you have passed your theory test, you will then be able to book and take part in your practical driving test.
Booking your mock test
Our mock tests are designed to replicate the real thing, so you’ll know exactly what to expect on the day. Leading up to your mock, we'll focus on your areas of concern and ensure you’re getting the best possible preparation. With our help, you’ll not only pass your theory test but also gain the knowledge and skills to be a safer, more confident driver.
